Jackson Acres' Goldens

Proud Puppy Owners!!!

Hi Marg,
I attached a picture of Cooper. He has been a great addition to our family. He is 5 months now and we get so many compliments about how cute and well mannered he is. Cooper was a role model puppy at his puppy classes and did not need much assistance. He enjoys playing in the back field with his friends Liberty and Boddie who are two golden retrievers that live next door. He is very friendly and loving and has even grown on family members that are nervous around dogs. Jeremy and I love him very much and are very happy that we found a great breeder. Thanks again.

Hi Marj,

Here is the latest picture of Cooper, 16 weeks and 28 1/2 lbs. He is a beautiful boy! He and Shane (our other golden) are best buddies, all I could have wished for.

Hi Marjorie,
Here's some new pictures of Buttercup (Courage X Jenny Jan '06). She's such an amazing dog. She's so mild mannered she won't even growl if Lucky, her beagle buddy, gets to be a little too much. Instead, all she does is give him the cold shoulder. She'll stick her head under or behind the couch or a chair, or she'll just stick her head in a corner. Amazingly, it works! She's also very smart and quite a clown. She loves carrying things around, especially her food dish and her duck. We have to watch out for shoes, though. She doesn't chew them up, but she thinks it's fun to pull the insoles out! She will "leave it" if we tell her, but if she's in playful mood, she's apt to grab them when we're not looking : ) We have a lot of fun with her and she's a good snuggler too.

Yesterday was Sophie's first birthday. We got her last January
following the death of our older Golden Madeline Rose who shared a birthday with Sophie's Mom Madison.... She has been an absolute joy, though I have to admit, I had forgotten about puppy energy in the six years since we had one in the house. The attached picture shows her with her big "sister" Chloe, who was devastated when Maddie died. (Sophie is on the right) At first Chloe really wanted nothing to do with this new creature, but within a few weeks, she came around and now they  are best friends....Sophie is an absolute love and nothing delights her more than to snuggle
up on the bed and fall asleep, sometimes on my chest, which is getting to be a little uncomfortable, but I'll take it for her. Thank you so much for such a delightful addition to our family. She has really helped to heal a lot of the ache of losing Maddie and I love her so much. When the other two were puppies, I used to say, I couldn't wait for them to grow out of it. Now, I delight in every little crazy thing she does. Thanks for all the laughs and smiles.
Best Wishes,
Peter P.

Hi, Marj. Here is the picture of Phinnaeus, as promised. He is just the sweetest boy, and so very gentle. John and I have said so many times that he is the easiest puppy we have had. He is beautiful...maybe more like Courage than Jenny, and at almost a year he is starting to look so very adult. Phinn loves to go to the great dog park in Kennebunk, and has many friends there...he also loves the mud that is occasionally available! We are loving having a Jackson Acres golden! Thanks for our wonderful boy!
John and Kathy

Hi Marj
Here's a photo of Rascal and Sparky from Jenny and Courage's April 2008 litter. We enjoy the boys very much. Hope all is well.Best regards,

Hi Marjorie
You asked that we send a picture of our puppy, from the November 22? litter, when he was grown. This is Baxter at 11 months or so, 72 pounds at last weigh-in. He is a glorious dog, beautiful, affectionate, great with kids although still very excitable (like the puppy he still is), and a great companion. He still wants to be a lap dog and loves to snuggle--you may remember that we picked him when he put his head on Scott's shoulder and you told us that your boys were snugglers. He has delivered on this promise. We tell our grandkids that he is asking for a hug when he snuggles up against them--he has to do it this way because he has no arms to give hugs himself! Thanks so much for such a wonderful dog.

Hi Marg,
Just a little note to let you know how Cooper is doing. He is a great puppy. He is sleeping through the night and potty training is going very well. He is a quick learner, he knows his name and sit. He has been a wonderful addition to our family. Our 7 1/2 year old golden has been really great with him, he lets him know when he has had enough.
Thanks, Tracy

Gracie is almost 11 month old now (weigh just over 50 lbs) and is settled into her life with us. She is ALL puppy with a lot of energy especially in the evening when she want us to play with her. Her favorite trick is to play with 2 spongy balls in her mouth, lying on her back, at one time. Smart dog. She like to run next to me on our bike trail. We have went as far as 7 miles plus several 5 mile hikes. Of course our five mile hike is 10 miles for her. She like to explore ahead and then run back to us real fast. Another facet of her personally is she is a Kleenex dog. Our mothers are always having their pockets checked for Kleenex and if she smell some in she goes to fetch it.The kids where Patti works really like her and she went on several outings with them. They really enjoyed seeing her grow over the summer months.

Hi Marge,
Just wanted to send you a picture of Sailor at 10 months... He's weighing a little over 70lbs right now we can't imagine how much bigger he will get. Our trainer said he was a big bully but he is very gentle and loves our Grandchild Jackson so we are very glad of that.  Thanks again for a very nice dog we love him to pieces.

We brought Red and Baby home to Cheshire, Ct, over a year ago. I've been meaning to send you their pictures, and tell you about them ever since. They are both beautiful, healthy, loving goldens. Baby looks like so many of her cousins on your website - she is very playful and fun. She loves to be outside in any weather. Red is huge! He is the most docile and calm dog I have ever known. He is happiest at my feet. He is truly a gentle giant. Both of them love to swim in the pool..... Thank you for sharing your dogs with us. They are members of the family, and we wouldn't want to live without them....Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas,
Sheri, Jilian and Matthew M.

Sadie is growing fast and adapting very well to her home here in Georgetown, Mass. She is spunky and smart. She quickly grabs a toy in the morning and greets us with a muffled "roo, roo, roo". Her favorite place to nap is amongst all the smelly sneakers in the mudroom, and she amazingly doesn't chew them. She loves to play and retrieves like a pro. She comically bounces and pounces on the ball and proudly prances back to return it. We take regular walks in the woods with her Lab friends. We are so happy to have her company.
Regards to you all,
Pam

Hi, My name is Whitney
Isabella, my most wonderful friend in the world, came from the Courage/ Jenny litter in August of 2006. She is just the most incredibly sweet dog and I felt like I should give you a 2 year update! We are now living in Florida and she loves the beach and swimming in the lake at the local dog park where she has many friends! She is fantastic with my two disabled cousins, especially Phil who is blind and loves feeling her fur and jingling her collar! I know there is already a picture of her on your "Proud Puppy Owners" page from where she was still a baby but here's a new pic from a hike we took in NC last month!! She's beautiful- that's for sure!!
Whitney

This is Dillon from Courage and Maddy's October 07 litter.  Isn't he handsome?  He is doing amazing and is so intelligent.  I truly wish all breeders would put the effort into the quality of pups that you have bred.  You should be very proud.  I visit your website often and your newest pups are gorgeous also.  It is tough to resist the urge to get another one, but I will continue to sing your praises to friends looking for a great companion. Hope all is well with you and your family!!

I wanted to give you an update on Sophie. She is just fabulous! Very smart and a great personality. She has such a pretty face and beautiful coloring. She is doing very well with potty training, every time she comes in from going out she sits waiting for a biscuit. Some times she goes out and right back in thinking that will get her one. She was easy to crate train, every night she runs upstairs into the bedroom and into the crate. She sleeps through the night and very lazy about getting up...

She will be 5 months old next week.

Attached is a picture of our Casco...all 60+ lbs. of him. He is beautiful. He is quite a character and we love him. We can't wait to see what he'll do in the snow. He was born on March 1, 2007. Hope all is well.

I've had dogs my whole life--big dogs and little dogs, pure breeds and mutts, males and females. Gus is far and away the sweetest dog I have ever seen. He loves everyone and everything.
He is well behaved and very curious and energetic. He is also stunningly handsome, even at only a year. He is also somewhat too big to sit on our lap, but we can't keep him off.
Thanks for bringing us together. I recently recommended you to someone who lost their Golden.
John - New Hampshire

I thought I would send you a picture of Max who was born on March 1st.  My son loves his new roommate and  wouldn't trade Max for anything.  He loves swimming off the back of the boat, and from land and he will never pass up his morning walk through the trail!  He is very gently and fun loving!
Thank you, and I hope you and your family are well.
Sincerely,
Lisa - Boxford, MA
